Hace mucho tiempo, Individual Tótem fue una de las bandas de industrial alemán más innovadoras que existían.No obstante, algunas grabaciones se mantuvieron en secreto durante algún tiempo.y no teníamos conocimiento de que existía en aquel tiempo la primera y única edición del álbum de la banda, la cual consistía en una cinta, por supuesto de cassette titulada; “Mumia Vera”.Álbum con el que sin darse cuenta Individual Tótem dejaron escuchar su estilo, y que por consiguiente le daría un sonido propio a la banda.

Rare Individual Totem tape only album 'Mumia Vera' re-released on CD for the first time A long time ago, Individual Totem were one of Germany's most innovative industrial bands. However, some recordings remained secret for quite some time. Even their most hardcore fans were not aware of the first real Totem release: a cassette-only album called "Mumia Vera". "Mumia Vera" represented the early stages of Individual Totem offering the seeds of what would become their trademark style.
This Fall, Artoffact Records will re-issue a new version of "Mumia Vera", completely remastered and re-tweaked from the original cassettes, and incorporating the original artwork. What is more, "Mumia Vera" will be released as a limited edition double CD, including the entire "Flow" EP (including the "Fortress A" remix). The release will also feature previously unreleased live material, and the limited edition will come with two new Individual Totem pins.
APOPTYGMA BERZERK anuncia cambio de alineación para su gira por NorteamericaPor primera vez en 5 años APOP, nombre diminutivo de la banda noruega Apoptygma Berzerk, estará de gira en Norte América. Tan sólo en el mes de Septiembre APOP tendrá 15 presentaciones en Estados Unidos, Canadá y por primera vez en México.
Al respecto, Stephan dijo que, “ésta gira se da después de un buen tiempo” y dijo sentirse muy afortunado por éstas fechas para la gira, ya que se trata de la primera vez que estará tocando canciones del álbum You and me against the world y Rocket Science, para la audiencia americana.
Stephhan Groth, aseguró también que a pesar de que éste sea su quinto álbum no dejará de tocar el material más“viejo”en sus presentaciones.Finalmente dijo que “Considera que ésta gira contendrá tanto grandes hits, como en la continuación de la gira de Rocket Science”.

Apoptygma Berzerk to tour North America with changed line-up For the first time in five years APOP, aka Apoptygma Berzerk, will go on tour in North America. In September APOP will play 15 shows in the US, Canada, and for the first time ever Mexico. Luego de varios años de experiencia y camino recorrido, los legendarios My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult sorprenden en la escena industrial con un album que nos remonta inevitablemente a los mejores dias de la banda, es decir los de sus primeras realizaciones “I see Good Spirits, i see bad spirits” y “Confessions Of a Knife” con algunos pequeños toques de “Sexplosion” pero con nuevas tecnologías que podrian en momentos recordarnos a los Prodigy de “Fat Of The Land”, ignoramos porque la banda de repente en este “Death Threat” dejan aquel estilo glam-rock-soul-funk que sobreexplotaron en los dos discos anteriores, como quiera que haya sido se agradece ya que este album cuenta con muy buenos momentos que nos remonta a los dias de Wax Trax! Y que de alguna manera perece como que tratan de recuperar a sus viejos fans, solamente hay que escuchar tracks como “Lone Road”, “Invasión” o “Death Threat”la que da titulo al disco para apreciar el estupendo trabajo que estan haciendo al recuperar su sonido, la abridora “Witch Punk Rockstar” parece como si The Prodigy hubiera remezclado un track de Confessions os a Knife y los tracks “Spotlite Hooker”, “Who R You Now” y “The Ultimate nude” nos recuerdan a Sexplosion, mientras que Foxxy Rockit, Bottoms Up y Psychick Yoga nos remontan al tambien imprescindible 13 avobe the night. Una belleza de disco apto solamente para seguidores de la banda, amantes del rock industrial vieja escuela y todos aquellos interesados en expandir sus horizontes musicales. “Death Threat” de My Life With The Thrill Kult pasa automáticamente a mi lista de mejores albumes del 2009 queda ahí la recomendación para todos los escuchas de Electroshock, excelente realización.

Por fin vemos y escuchamos nuevo material solista de Tim Skold editado, y es muy probable que este sea signo de que Skold regrese a las filas de KMFDM en futuras realizaciones ya que lo mismo sucedió cuando Raymond Watts de Pig regreso provisionalmente a las filas de KMFDM en el disco Nihil luego de haber estado fuera desde UAIOE, siendo sinceros Skold cuando estuvo en las filas de KMFDM aporto muchisimo a la evolucion de su sonido y que quedo plasmada en discos extraordinarios como “Symbols”, “Adios”, “Attak” y la colaboración con el proyecto MDFMK, luego de esto fue desaprovechado totalmente por Marilyn Manson, pero afortunadamente esta de regreso, luego de aquel debut solista homónimo en el 96 o si somos mas estrictos desde aquel inedito “Dear God” del 2002.
Para no extenderme mucho solo cabe mencionar que el estilo al que Skold nos tiene acostumbrados sigue intacto, simple y sencillamente podemos esperar de este una continuación de lo que dejo pendiente con su colaboración con KMFDM, y no con esto decimos que este disco suene a los alemanes, sino que KMFDM en aquellos memorables discos adquirio el toque personal de Skold. Perdido tras su salida.
Desde la inicial “Why me” aunque cantada por Sasha Koneitzko ya el disco nos atrapa por completo y conforme el disco va avanzando nos va envolviendo mas en su sonido, “Bloodsport”, la extraordinaria “Love Is like” (Que nos recuerda “Torpedoes” de su etapa como MDFMK) y “A common enemy” son sin duda los tracks definitivos del disco y que seguramente son los que se estan usando para promover el disco, si algo tienen las producciones de skold es definitivamente que los hits poteciales siempre son muy marcados dentro del album, por otro lado lo encontramos tambien experimentando por primera vez con un track netamente pop que bien podria ser llamado “Power electro-pop” y es “Error 404” que fácilmente podria escucharse en cualquier estacion de radio comercial sin ningun problema, otros temas destacables “Alcohol” y “Gromky“, pero en resumen el disco debe ser forzosamente escuchado por completo, no tendria ningun sentido si te llegas a descargar los que aquí mencionamos solamente, mejor trata de comprarte el disco, muy buena producción y muy buen regreso a a escena de Skold al lado de sus camaradas KMFDM.

Esta reseña será muy breve ya que el disco por si solo habla de su calidad y cualquier cosa que diga sale de sobra, Of Faith, Power & Glory es ya el séptimo álbum en la carrera de estos irlandeses con base en Inglaterra, y acerca de su sonido no hay mucho que decir, dado que es muy característico y no hay muchos artistas con quienes se les pudiera confundir.
Para este álbum VNV Nation nos ofrece un disco muy bien balanceado y tal y como una vez ya lo prometió, el disco presenta una mezcla entre los discos “Matter & Form” y “Judgement” con algunos pequeños toques a lo “Prise the fallen”” y que se puede apreciar en la abridora “Pro-Victoria”, luego de este track, el dúo ataca con todo con “Sentinel”, a partir de este momento ya no se te da un solo respiro, ya que los siguientes temas vienen por la misma línea, “Tomorrow Never comes” que es el track que la banda estuvo tocando en vivo en la gira “Judgement” como adelanto de su nuevo disco nos recuerda aquel no menos glorioso “Futureperfect” mientras “Great Divide” aun y cuando nos puede remontar a “Matter and form” la verdad es que sigue manteniendo la estructura musical de las piezas de “Futureperfect”, a mi parecer uno de los mejores tracks del disco junto a “Defiant” y la bellísima “Where there is light” con la que cierra el disco, el resto del álbum ya ni los mencionamos porque realmente ningún track es malo, hasta hoy todos los discos de VNV Nation me han parecido muy buenos y este no es la excepción, pero si alguien me preguntara en este momento cual es mi álbum favorito después del imprescindible “Empires” sin duda nombraría este “Of Faith, Power & Glory”, se vislumbra un futuro perfecto para VNV Nation si continuan por este camino.

Skinny Puppy announce new album and tour for 2009 According to a news posting on the official Skinny Puppy MySpace website, the band is planning a new studio album and tour for 2009. Rumour has it that the newest puppy would see the light of day somewhere in October. The current line-up of the band consists of Cevin Key, Nivek Ogre and Mark Walk with additional help from Otto von Schirach and Aaron from Venetian Snares.

Sevren y Raive han comenzado primero a diseñar y construir el contenido y luego platicar de ideas para el estilo musical. Invertí un gran fin de semana con Raive dice Sevren. X-Marks the Pedwalk announces new album autumn 2009 Sevren Ni-Arb and Raive Yarx met at Sevren´s place on March 15th to create ideas and materials for a new approach and draw the conclusion: XMTP will be back with a new album which will allready be released 2009.There has been an album title in Sevren´s mind for a long time, which will be the conceptional base. Sevren and Raive have begun to design and construct first contents and have discussed ideas for the musical style. First steps have already been made.I spent a great weekend with Raive. We started making plans for the future from the first moment never pausing on footsteps in the past. Now we are looking forward to a lot of creative work!

Leaether Strip completes soundtrack for 'Dark Passages' movie Denmark’s leading industrial artist Claus Larsen recently completed the full music score for the movie "Dark Passages" which should be released in the first half of 2010. We asked the artist what his working method was when composing this soundtrack: "I composed all the songs from reading the amazing and scary script. (...) Composers usually only get the final cut to compose from, here I got to get my own little film going in my head while writing the songs. My job is done. So now we just got to wait a little for the movie!! The fact that I finally got the chance to write a soundtrack is just amazing and one of my biggest dreams come true."
